Baybayínis the pre-colonial writing system of the islands we now know as the Philippines. The workshop will delight the mind and feed the young participants with learning the history of how this ancient script came to being and will be taught the strokes of writing the script. In addition, the script will also open the doors to the priceless value of instilling pride through identity and belonging. Now being widely used for visual arts and design, Baybayín registrants will be able to reconnect to their ancestors and help reviving and bring forward this endangered part of our heritage.
Mentor: Robert “RJ” Sison – Pamana Designs
